Devlog: What’s Next – A New Arc Begins + Patreon Relaunch!

Now that Build 3 is out in the wild and the dust is settling, I wanted to share what’s coming up next for Room For One More — and how you can get involved behind the scenes~

The Next Build: The Coal Arc Begins 

The next update will mark the beginning of a major shift in the story — the start of what we've been calling the Coal Arc. Since this is a linear VN, we decided to separate character arcs in different subsequent chapters, the first one being Coal, then Xuan, then Mint, and lastly the MC! You’ll start to see cracks in the surface, new tensions rise, and emotional weight pulling at our characters.

This also means a bunch of new characters are gonna come out here as well, and we can't wait for you all to meet them!

This arc is planned to span 5 chapters, and it’s where the stakes and past histories start to take center stage. If you’ve been waiting for deeper insight into Coal, this is where it begins. After these 5 chapters, there will be an interlude of 2-3 chapters before the next main arc will begin!

We're also reopening the Patreon! We'll be using it to:

• Share behind-the-scenes posts and dev insights earlier than anywhere else after this post

• Upload WIPS of CGs and designs for upcoming characters

• Post random art and doodles of the cast

• Plans to run biweekly polls to vote on characters our main artist will draw for funsies (when he's able to!)

• And most importantly:
  🔐 Early access to future builds – 3 weeks before the public release!
